To have a truly experience, it is said, one must partake, while in England, of afternoon tea and scones. One afternoon, after a long shopping day on Oxford street, Yumchaa tea shop caught my eye with it lovely rustic décor. I went in and was delighted by its cozy and relaxing atmosphere – a perfect place to take a nice break and get recharged for the next round of shopping.
Yumchaa serves a wide selection of high quality loose tea from the usual favorites like Earl Grey, Traditional English Breakfast and such to their own unique blends like Enchanted Forest, Chilli Chilli Bang Bang and Caramel Sweetheart.
Yumchaa says no to tea bags, instead allowing the loose leaves to release more and better flavor and aroma. In their words, it provides space for the leaves to dance around.
There’s also a good selection of snacks to go and baked goods to choose from. If you happen to be in London it is well worth giving Yumchaa a visit.
